Sad times. What a horrible 4th of July.

I just recently recieved news that my brother's wife died this past Monday morning at 4AM. She died of a liver failure and she was only 36 yrs old. this makes me sad to think about. She had been having difficulties with her liver for a few years and with her being on the donor list.. we all thought she'd pull through. Apparently, two weeks ago, after flying she started going downhill, they think that is what triggered it.
I don't keep in touch with all of my family for personal reasons, but I still feel sad about her passing away. In some parts of it, I feel disconnected from the whole situation as if she were naught but a stranger. I have met and spoken to her a variety of times.. but yet I know I didn't know her.
I'm going to end up calling him and giving my condolences tomorrow evening. I haven't spoken to him in some yrs. His loss pains me because I seriously do not know what I would do in his situation... How do you look at the 4th of July the same way again?
This is the time to enjoy life, celebrate the coming of new ones *peers over at Psi*

And wish well the ones that have passed. Enjoy it while you can, you only have one.
